World’s Most Beautiful Abandoned Places

Italian product manager and web designer Francesco Mugnai recently added a collection of images to his blog touting some of the most beautiful images of abandoned spots and modern ruins that he’d ever seen. The images Mugnai has captured come from empty castles, shuttered power plants, and dilapidated churches around the world. From a sunken yacht in Antarctica to a forever-closed amusement park in Japan, these images all make up a sort of anti-phoenix; rather than rising as new from the ashes, these husks remain preserved in decomposition, forcing viewers to confront the strange beauty of ruination.

On Tuesday November 20th, 2012 at around 1:40pm she was in a severe car accident, in Ewa Beach, by KFC along with her boyfriend JohnJohn. She was rushed to the hospital, but was unfortunately pronounced dead after. She wasn’t ready to be taken from us! its too soon. Something like this is so devastating and emotional to withhold. She was such a wonderful girl. Always had that amazing smile on her face, and played her heart out in softball for James Campbell High School, Ewa Beach. Knowing that she is in a better place now with God, lets us know that she is unable to feel down in anyway. WE LOVE AND WILL FOREVER MISS YOU KAWEHI KUPUKAA! <3   Rest in peace Kawehi. Prayers go out to the Kupukaa Ohana.
